He studied at the art school of Ferenc Szablya-Frischauf for a short while, continuing his studies in Nagybánya in 1906 and then in Germany. Apart from painting he was also active in copper etching, book illustration, the design of posters, stamps, jewels and ceramics. His volume of copper etchings Magyar Parnassus was published in 1926, with illustrations for modern Hungarian poetry. He was a member of the KÉVE association. Apart from participating in exhibitions in Budapest, he also showed in the Hagenbund in Vienna, Dresden and Munich. He committed suicide in 1929.
