Son of the painter Gyula Basch. Studied at the *** Pattern Drawing School and the Julian Academy in Paris. Exhibited regularly from 1910 onwards, making public appearances as member of the Szinyei Society and the KUT association in the twenties. During the First World War he was a war-artist. Lived in France between 1925 and 1931, working in Budapest after his return. He committed suicide in 1944.
