Bartha, László

Kolozsvár, 1902 - 1998, Kőszeg

Completed his studies at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 1933. His first solo exhibition only took place in 1942, but as a member of KUT and KÉVE, he had earlier participated in group exhibitions. He was given a fellowship to stay in Rome in 1937; he spent two years in France from 1946, subsequently returning a number of times. In 1950 and 1951 he worked in the National Centre for Museums and Monuments as a restorer. After 1957 he spent time regularly at the artist colony of Miskolc.
